Susan Boyle has checked herself into The Priory, a celebrity favourite for drug and alcohol rehabilitation which also treats mental health problems. There are sixteen million reasons why I will not have sympathy for this breakdown. but mostly because I think this is yet another marketing ploy to generate sympathy for Boyle for it was sympathy which first carried her into the stratosphere of success.
One of Boyle's neighbors said, "She (Boyle) told me that after the final, she wants to come back and resume her previous life."
For sure Boyle has a good voice but that voice is not uncommon. If you are a musical theatre-goer, you would have been inundated with such singing style and quality. They are a dime and bloody dozen. Boyle's allure stems from the basis no one expected that kind of voice to come from that kind of less-than-ordinary persona. In other words, no one saw it coming. Hence when it came, people were overwhelmed. Sadly this kind of emotion wears off quickly. Especially as Boyle shows off more and more of her newfound cash trappings and in the process distancing herself from what makes her a success in the first place; an ordinary person performing an extraordinary feat.
Yeah, right.
We need Chris Crocker do one of this for Susan, well a frumpier version of course-
