Je ne suis pas un féministe

FEDERAL Labor MP Belinda Neal told ABC TV she made a "feminist decision" to stand by her husband, former NSW health minister John Della Bosca, after it was revealed he'd cheated on her with a another woman . . .

Are we suppose to conclude BN cannot stay with JDB simply because of *choke* love? Has love suddenly gone out of fashion? Since when has the capacity to love become a gender weakness?

By definition, feminism is about equality of sexes. If BN is serious about being a feminist and not merely blowing her political horn, shouldn't she be instead having herself an affair so as to regain the grounds she lost to JDB's indiscretion?

BN has a point when she said she didn't believe politicians should be sanctioned for their private actions . . . but there are private actions and there are private actions. I for one don't care if JDB is a two-timing wanker, after all he wasn't two-timing me (sic). However, where do you draw the line? If and I say this with a big hypothetical if, JDB is a wife-beater in private, do we still sanction his wife-beating action? I trust you know the answer.
